Our Community Voluntary Transport Service saw a 13% rise in journeys delivered from 6,849 in 2021 to 7,718 in 2022 with the main trip purpose being for social welfare reasons.

The latest figures also show a 14% increase in passengers using the service from 347 in 2021 to 394 in 2022 and a 38% increase in volunteer drivers.

We are delighted this voluntary service is being utilised more allowing isolated people in our community access to support that matters to them; helping them live a healthier, happier and more fulfilling life.

We are always keen to hear from anyone wanting to use the service or volunteer as a driver.
