Guernsey Petanque
Come and try Petanque
The club was formed in 1984 and played at the Friquet Flower Centre from its induction until the year 2000 when the move to the Petanque Centre at St Andrews took place. The club is run by a committee who are elected each year by the members at the AGM in November.
The Captain runs the playing calendar of Doubles, Triples and Singles, with many one off events and friendly melee’s. Our main club night is Wednesday when most of the competitions are staged. Monday afternoon 2pm play sees fewer members and a less competitive play, and seen as a good induction into the game of Petanque. Every Saturday afternoon at 2pm there are regular sessions of friendly melee’s and probably the best time for newcomers to visit the club and try the sport.
No previous experience necessary. Get active and meet new friends.2pm Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. First 3 sessions are free. All equipment provided.
