Guernsey Hard of Hearing LBG
GHH gives help and support to adults who are D/deaf or hard of hearing in the Bailiwick.
How we support:
- Independent advice for individuals or establishments
- lobbying for the provision of adequate services
- raising public awareness of the communication and other needs of people who are D/deaf and hard of hearing
- peer support groups
- fundraising for the provision of equipment where individuals cannot provide for it themselves
- organising activities and outings for the members who enjoy meeting others to share experiences and provide mutual support
Assistive Devices
We are able to offer advice about the variety of devices and technologies to support hearing in daily life or at work.
Fire Alarms
Fund specially adapted fire alarms which are provided by the Fire Service.
Hearing Aids
We can help fund the cost of hearing aids for those who need financial assistance.
Deaf Awareness
Deaf awareness sessions available for free and can include an introduction to British Sign Language. Tailored to needs of each group.
