The Health Connections Voluntary Community Transport Service provides a safe, reliable and FREE transport to those people in the islands who have genuine unmet transport needs.

The volunteer drivers provide door to door transport enabling people to access opportunities for social connection and health and wellbeing related appointments and activities.

– Passengers can self-refer or be referred by doctors, health professionals, social workers and community centres.
– Passengers must be able to get in and out of the transport unaided. 
– We can offer support for wheelchair users if the wheelchair user can transfer themselves from chair to vehicle and vice versa. The driver can then fold the wheelchair, to put it in the boot. 
– A minimum of 2 working days notice is requested for each journey.
