The Accidental Zoo is a charity registered in Guernsey, Channel Islands which uses engaging up-close animal experiences to have a long lasting impact within the island community. Established in early 2019, The Accidental Zoo has aligned its goals with government policies to create meaningful and measurable social impact. It builds opportunities for delivering education experiences in an exciting, hands on, real life way and facilitates activities to support the long term health & wellness of people seeking a better quality of life within Guernsey.

The Accidental Zoo’s vision is to create an engaging, fun and stimulating outdoor learning facility where children get to interact with animals and learn about their welfare, animal husbandry, the outdoor world and conservation.

We hope to partner with other organisations in Guernsey through community outreach and social prescribing projects, involving our resources, to improve the island’s health and well being.

The Accidental Zoo believes the island had an incredible variety and breadth of local produce, with many small businesses whose passion for ‘local’ is infectious. We love supporting local!
