Leonie Corfield Yoga offers an alignment-based style of yoga practice with a focus on the use of props to help access poses or aspects of poses. A practice typically includes light and accessible flowing sequences, standing and seated postures, breathwork and restorative postures.  The style of teaching is a fusion of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga styles.

Leonie is influenced by the yoga of B K S Iyengar because his use of modifications of poses with props allows for a truly tailored yoga practice for each student.  It is entirely respectful to the abilities, strengths and needs of everyone.

Over four week cycles, focus is on standing poses, forward folds, back arches or pranayama (breathwork), respectively, in line with the Iyengar style. It also helps students find a practice that they might do at home.  It fosters an independence and confidence with yoga. If you catch yourself trying out a few poses at home more and more regularly, then we might conclude that this is making a difference to you.
