We want to create a truly inclusive, memorable event that focuses on raising as much money for charity as possible, while giving anyone and everyone the opportunity to experience the joy of swim, bike and run. Now, more than ever, our islands charities are in need of support. The Hel(l)vetia Challenge is an excellent opportunity to raise funds for your chosen charity, whilst having fun and raising team spirits as we exit lockdown. This event is open to everyone with no triathlon experience necessary!
Participating organisations and participants can support any Guernsey charity of their choice. In 2020, Credit Suisse is raising money for Les Bourgs Hospice. Our company and its employees are passionate about raising money and awareness for the Hospice, which provides the highest levels of compassionate and professional care to patients suffering from life limiting illnesses, as well as their loved ones. To support your charitable efforts a fund raising page, linked to your team and charity, can be set up when registering.
How it Works
The Challenge is to complete a circuit of a 600m swim in Havelet Bay, a 2km cycle ride up and down the Val de Terres, and a run along South Esplanade to the Aquarium, back to Castle Cornet, returning to South Esplanade (approx 2km) as many times as you and your team decide. As an individual, you complete all three disciplines, and as a team of three, you each complete one discipline.
How to Sign Up
Firstly you and your organisation need to decide who’s in your team! Do you want to complete the challenge alone or with colleagues / friends? After that, choose your charity, the number of circuits you want to complete swim, bike and run, then register via Race Nation at https://race-nation.co.uk/register/helvetia- challenge/helvetia-challenge-2020. Once you’re signed up, we hope you’ll start raising as much money for your charity, and enjoy training for your challenge.
