Headway Guernsey is a local charity supporting islanders and their families who are living with the long-term effects of a brain injury.
Headway is approved by both the PEH and The UK Stroke Association as the referral charity for young stroke survivors (typically 40-65 age range).
We provide a range of services that bring people together in a supportive environment helping them on their road to recovery to a life back into the community
Through regular sessions at Headway House, brain injured islanders can rebuild their confidence, learn new skills, relearn lost skills and support each other. We run a range of cognitive, physical and social sessions across the week from our base at KGV in Castel.
Headway also runs a helpline offering information and advice and provides the opportunity to talk to others who have been through similar experiences.
There is a regular programme of social events and information evenings and an active family support programme.
