We provide support for the visually impaired. Our aim is to offer a wide range of resources, information and activities. The Vision Support Centre is run by the Guernsey Blind Association.
Equipment
The Vision Support Centre has a resource shop with up to date equipment to enable people to live a more independent life with magnifiers to and other equipment to help in the home and workplace. It is open 8am till 11am Monday to Friday and outside these hours by prior appointment.
Social Meetings
On Thursday afternoons we hold a social event at the Centre. Activities include dominoes, bingo, knitting, crafts, manicure nails, listening to music (Healing Music Trust) and chatting to friends. Please contact the office if you wish to attend or require transport.

Weekly memory sticks are sent out to those who cant read the Guernsey Press anymore, it is edited down for an hour of headlines and sent via the post. This is a free service and if you would like to know more call

Listening for Pleasure
We also provide access to Calibre and RNIB talking book service to provide more specialised books for everyone’s pleasure.
Assistance
We provide emotional and financial support including assistance towards eye tests and provision of glasses.
Anyone can access our services by dropping into the centre or by telephone or email.
We offer advice and support for your individual needs, listening to your requirements for your visual impairment. Signposting to other services of expertise to promote the best outcome for the individual.
