Dancing in the Dark is a fun dancing for fitness class in Guernsey organised by ex-dance teacher Louise Moyse. The class doesn’t have a teacher or a routine and everyone, whatever their age or fitness level, can take part. It’s suitable for all abilities and liberates your creativity instead of following a routine.
Every Tuesday, the class offers a high energy, nightclub playlist in near-pitch black to help people get fit and work up a sweat whilst having fun without the worry of how they look or how good their choreography is. Individuals can dance however they feel comfortable and at their own pace.
Dancing is known to improve mental and physical wellbeing including alleviating symptoms of depression and anxiety, reducing stress, increasing cardiovascular fitness, flexibility and balance and improving overall self-esteem.
There is plenty of parking available and no bookings are needed, just turn up. Please bring £5 cash (all proceeds go to local charities).
